01
Sustainability & Regulation

Preparing a business for packaging and recycling reform

Suntory Beverage & Food GB&I

During a period of intense regulatory change for the soft-drinks sector — including the introduction of the UK Plastic Packaging Tax and the development of Extended Producer Responsibility and Deposit Return Schemes — Liz led Suntory Beverage & Food GB&I's sustainability, public affairs and communications response. She aligned senior leadership and operational teams around a clear strategy, while engaging government, regulators, NGOs and industry bodies to influence policy, manage reputational risk and prepare the business for significant changes to packaging and recycling requirements.

02
Reputation & Stakeholder Engagement

A high-profile global headquarters relocation

AstraZeneca

Against the backdrop of Pfizer's attempted takeover of AstraZeneca and intense political scrutiny of the company's commitment to UK science and investment, Liz led external affairs for the relocation of its global headquarters and strategic R&D centre to Cambridge. She developed and delivered the stakeholder strategy supporting the planning process, building relationships with local authorities, politicians, community representatives and advocacy groups while coordinating communications across internal teams and agency partners to manage reputational risk and secure support for the development.

03
Public Affairs & Policy

Leading through the health and obesity debate

Coca-Cola GB

During a period of increasing scrutiny of the food and drink industry over obesity, sugar consumption, nutritional labelling and packaging sustainability, Liz led Coca-Cola GB's strategic communications and public affairs programmes. She developed partnerships with the Department of Health and industry bodies, shaped the company's contribution to the Public Health Responsibility Deal, and coordinated media, government and stakeholder engagement to strengthen Coca-Cola's position in a highly visible and increasingly regulated market.
